**Director of AI Engineering** **About Parachute Health** Parachute Health is the leading digital ordering platform for medical equipment and supplies, connecting 300,000+ clinicians and 3,000+ supplier locations across all 50 states. We've helped 15M+ patients access life-saving products at home. **About the Role** This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, build, and deploy AI-native systems that remove operational waste across the organization. You'll write production code, wire up agentic systems, and lead a small pod of 2-4 engineers embedded with business functions. **Key Responsibilities** • Design, build, harden, and deploy end-to-end agentic solutions from problem scoping through production • Own the AI automation roadmap across internal operations (supplier onboarding, clinician activation, sales, finance, support) • Lead the pod as a player-coach—directly manage engineers while staying hands-on • Conduct discovery with internal teams and design AI-first processes • Scout and influence company-wide decisions on models, orchestration frameworks, and agent toolkits **What We're Looking For** • Strong software engineering foundation with system design, APIs, and full SDLC rigor • Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, LLM orchestration (LangChain, LangGraph), voice agents, MCP, and multi-agent coordination • Proven track record building and deploying AI systems with real operational outcomes • Bias for speed and impact—ship meaningful systems quickly • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience building and leading small, high-output technical teams • *Nice to have:* Deep ML experience; business transformation expertise **Benefits** Medical, dental, and vision coverage • HSA contributions • 401(k) • Equity • Up to 15% annual bonus • Remote-first with NYC office • Flexible PTO • Summer Fridays • Home office and wellness stipend • Internet stipend • L&D stipend **Note:** Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
