**Machine Learning Engineer, Drive** **About the Team** DoorDash Drive powers deliveries through merchants' own channels using DoorDash's logistics network. The Drive ML team builds prediction and intelligence systems including delivery/pickup ETA, merchant prep-time prediction, order release optimization, and AI-powered quality signals. **About the Role** Own ML systems end-to-end: feature engineering, model development, experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration. **Key Responsibilities:** • Build next-generation ML models for delivery ETA, pickup ETA, and merchant prep-time estimation • Develop deep learning models leveraging spatiotemporal and behavioral signals • Apply reinforcement learning and optimization for logistics decision-making • Build AI-native experiences using LLMs and vision-language models • Design and run rigorous online experiments and production monitoring • Partner with engineers, PMs, data scientists, and platform teams **What We're Looking For:** • 5+ years building and shipping production ML systems with measurable impact • Strong experience with PyTorch, Spark, Airflow • End-to-end ML system building, deployment, and monitoring • Strong Python and modern ML infrastructure skills • Deep expertise in: Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Optimization/OR, or LLMs/VLMs • Experience with estimation, ranking, prediction, or optimization at scale • Hands-on LLM/VLM experience is a plus • Logistics/marketplace/delivery experience helpful but not required • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools • Located or relocating to: San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or Seattle **Compensation** Base salary: $137,100–$201,600 (I4) | $167,800–$246,800 (I5) | $203,500–$299,300 (I6) Plus equity grants, 401(k) matching, 16 weeks paid parental leave, comprehensive benefits.
