**Senior Software Engineer, Stream Control Plane** **About the Role** Join Cribl's Stream Control Plane team to build scalable, reliable software that powers the operation of Cribl Stream. You'll work with cross-functional engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver resilient, high-performing systems at scale. This fully remote role blends technical depth with hands-on execution, ideal for solving distributed systems challenges and improving production reliability. **What You'll Do** • Build software for reliable, scalable operation of Cribl Stream (deployment, configuration, orchestration) • Partner with cross-functional teams to turn requirements into technical designs and implementations • Develop, test, and maintain robust code delivering customer value • Use AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows in development, debugging, and testing • Create automated tests and test plans ensuring quality and maintainability • Contribute to engineering best practices and operational excellence • Identify and implement performance, scalability, and efficiency improvements • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for SaaS support **What We're Looking For** • BS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years experience (or MS with relevant experience) • Strong production software development experience with customer-facing features • Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • Production API design and consumption (REST, RPC) • Production on-call and incident response experience • JavaScript/TypeScript test framework experience (Playwright, Codecept, Mocha, Cypress, Jest) • Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript skills • Data streaming, telemetry, logs, metrics, or observability systems knowledge • Startup/fast-paced agile environment experience • Comfortable in AI-native, agentic engineering environments • **U.S. citizenship and residence required** (FedRAMP compliance) **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 $160,000 – $210,000 USD (location and experience dependent) ✓ Health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance ✓ Paid holidays and PTO ✓ Fertility treatment benefit ✓ 401(k) and equity ✓ Corporate bonus program **Remote-First Culture** Cribl is a remote-first company embracing global diversity.
