**Research & Portfolio Management Engineering - Associate** **About AQR Capital Management** AQR is a global investment firm built at the intersection of financial theory and practical application. Since 1998, they've been a leader in alternative strategies and an innovator in traditional portfolio management, serving institutional investors and financial advisors. **The Team** AQR's Research Engineering team is seeking a strong technical engineer to strengthen business initiatives in the Global Stock Selection Quantitative Research Development (QRD) group. QRD maintains sophisticated infrastructure and tooling, manages complex production processes, and works closely with researchers to create and refine systematic investment strategies. **Your Role** You will build or extend: • Scalable, AWS-based storage and computing infrastructure • Generalized research platform • Data ingestion and validation engine • Model computation and signal generation pipeline • Machine learning / Natural Language Processing pipeline **What You'll Bring** • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field • 3-5 years professional software engineering experience • Strong Python skills; C++ experience is a plus • Linux development experience • Cloud-native application development (AWS or similar) • Distributed systems and large-scale data processing experience • SQL proficiency and structured data at scale • Hands-on AI/LLM integration experience • Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Experience with quantitative research, ML platforms, or fintech is a plus **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 $140,000 - $160,000 + annual discretionary bonus 📋 Comprehensive benefits: PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) **Equal Opportunity Employer** | EEO/VET/DISABILITY
