**Astera Labs — Principal Design Verification Engineer (AI Fabric Switches)** **Job Overview** Astera Labs provides rack-scale AI infrastructure through purpose-built connectivity solutions. In this role, you’ll help verify complex ASIC designs by planning verification, writing and debugging tests, and driving coverage closure. You’ll also partner with software and system validation teams to develop and execute test plans in emulation platforms. **Basic Qualifications** - Strong academic and technical background in electrical engineering (B.S. required; M.S. preferred) - 8+ years verifying and validating complex SoCs for Server, Storage, and Networking applications - Knowledge of industry-standard simulators, revision control systems, and regression systems - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision - Authorized to work in the US and start immediately **Required Experience** - Full verification lifecycle experience using SystemVerilog/UVM and C/C++ (other scripting languages a plus) - Ability to combine hybrid verification techniques (directed + constrained random) - Experience with bug triage and coverage hunting (formal methods is a plus) - Ability to develop test plans and test sequences, generate stimuli, and collaborate with RTL designers to debug failures - Ability to identify and write coverage measures (including corner cases) and close coverage for high-quality tape-out **Preferred Experience** - Scripting/automation experience (Perl/Python) to build verification infrastructure - Experience with Verification IPs and communication protocols such as PCIe (Gen-3+), Ethernet, InfiniBand, DDR4/5, NVMe, USB, etc. - Experience with directed test methodologies, cache verification, and formal methods **Compensation** Base salary range: **USD 185,000.00 – USD 240,000.00** (determined by location, experience, and internal pay practices). **Equal Opportunity** Astera Labs encourages applications from people with relevant experience, including individuals of color, LGBTQ+ and non-binary people, veterans, parents, and individuals with disabilities.
