**Applied AI Architect** **Role Overview** Lead advanced AI/ML technical strategy for customers, owning complex architecture discussions, driving platform adoption, and serving as a trusted advisor. Combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to position Databricks as the foundation of customers' data and AI strategy. Remote position available. **Key Responsibilities** • Own end-to-end AI/ML technical strategy from discovery through production deployment • Lead complex architecture discussions for scalable solutions (RAG, tool calling, multi-agent orchestration, guardrails, AI evaluation, observability) • Serve as trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leaders • Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios • Develop emerging technical specialization and become a go-to resource • Orchestrate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SAs, Partners) • Influence product direction with structured customer feedback **Required Qualifications** • 6+ years in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or senior technical roles (ML Engineering or AI Engineering) • Strong Python and SQL proficiency with live coding/debugging skills • Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture • Proficiency with Databricks Platform (or rapid learning ability) • Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders • Production deployment experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP • Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth • Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative discipline • Willingness to travel up to 30% **Nice to Have** • Databricks certifications (Data Engineer, ML, Platform) • Experience with competitive platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure Synapse) • Background in data/AI company or cloud provider • Industry domain expertise (Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, Media, etc.) **Compensation & Benefits** Salary Range: $180,000 – $247,500 USD Includes eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits package. **About Databricks** The Data and AI company trusted by 20,000+ organizations worldwide, including 70% of Fortune 500.
