## Forward Deployed Engineer ### About the Role Forward Deployed Engineers work side by side with customers to tackle their hardest, mission-critical problems. You’ll quickly get to the root of the challenge, then architect and build solutions that combine business-critical data with the latest advances in AI. At this level, you’ll lead engagements from the first conversation through to production—scoping the problem with customer stakeholders, making key technical decisions, and shipping systems that hold up in mission-critical environments. You’ll work in small, agile teams, own end-to-end delivery of high-stakes projects, and help raise the bar for the engineers around you. ### Operating Principles - **One team, one fight** — align internally so you can win externally. - **Strong convictions, loosely held** — bring a point of view, but stay open to better evidence. - **Default to open** — transparency by default (data, context, and reasoning) to improve outcomes. ### What We Require - **High agency** and a high “chaos ceiling,” with strong first-principles thinking, outcome orientation, and resiliency. - **3+ years** of professional software engineering experience, including taking projects from ambiguous problems to production. - Proficiency in **one or more** programming languages such as **Python, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript**, or similar. - Comfort working directly with **customers** and translating business problems into technical solutions. - An engineering background, ideally in **Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science**. - **Ability to travel**.
