About this role

**Lab & Integration Engineer** **About Anduril** Anduril Industries is a defense technology company on a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by **Lattice OS**, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. **About the Team (Platform Engineering & Integration - PEI)** Platform Engineering & Integration (PEI) is the Chief Engineering integration function that brings strong subsystems together into a deployable platform. PEI owns the “seams,” including platform architecture coherence, cross-domain interfaces, integration risk, verification strategy, and configuration maturity/readiness evidence across multiple autonomous airpower programs. **About the Role** You will engineer and integrate on the **lab fleet** behind Anduril’s flagship autonomous air vehicle—supporting **software-in-the-loop (SIL)** and **hardware-in-the-loop (HITL)** rigs for vehicle management, flight controls, and mission systems, plus an **iron bird** with hydraulics, loaded actuation, and power. This is an **individual-contributor** role working with the **Lab & Integration Lead** and lab technicians. You’ll own specific rigs and lab subsystems end-to-end, spending most of your time between design tools, the bench, and the integration floor. --- ## What You’ll Do - **Engineer the rigs:** Develop and maintain rig designs (block diagrams, rack/power layouts, network design, harness definitions, pin-to-pins, and rig interface control documents). Review build drawings and work instructions before material release. - **Bring rigs up:** Plan and lead bring-up (safe-to-mate, power-on and BIT, LRU checkout, network/time-sync verification, host/sim reference-scenario runs). Close readiness checklists before declaring a rig operational. - **Own HITL host & simulation integration:** Integrate real-time host, I/O, plant models, and simulation with flight hardware. Characterize latency/timing, validate simulation behavior vs. reference data, and document what each rig can/can’t prove. - **Integrate on the rigs:** Run integration for software releases and new hardware (execute procedures, triage failures across software/avionics/mission systems/lab causes, write discrepancy reports to closure, and run regression after changes). - **Hold configuration discipline:** Maintain each rig’s configuration baseline (LRU part/serial numbers, software/firmware loads, harness revisions, sim versions) and ensure complete as-tested records. - **Capture data that holds up:** Set up recording/logging so results trace back to requirements and configuration. Build scripts/tools to pull, check, and summarize rig data for integration/qualification/flight-readiness reviews. - **Automate:** Automate repetitive checkout, configuration capture, and regression runs to treat rig time as scarce. - **Support capacity & planning:** Provide rig-hour estimates, build/bring-up schedules, and long-lead material inputs. Assess rig changes for new hardware lots; keep sustainment/spares/obsolescence plans current. - **Work safely and securely:** Contribute to lab hazard analysis and network/classified-lab accreditation; follow/improve controls for hydraulics, high power, rotating machinery, and classified operations. - **Raise the bar for the team:** Write procedures/checklists/lessons learned so technicians and the next engineer can work without you; men
