## Mission Planning Software - Cloud Engineering ### Company Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company delivering trusted solutions and enterprise IT capabilities to protect the nation and allies—operating across land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. ### Responsibilities - Design, develop, integrate, and maintain software modules using modern development practices - Ensure solutions meet organizational standards for quality, performance, and maintainability - Develop Java-based modules using modern techniques (e.g., event-driven/state-driven design, error logging, exception handling) - Perform software analysis, architecture, engineering, and integration across unit/module/system levels - Support the full software engineering lifecycle (implementation, testing, documentation) - Follow open standards and modern software engineering best practices - Prepare technical documentation (reports/white papers) summarizing engineering findings ### What You’ll Do - Build Java modules and enterprise integrations - Work across implementation, testing, and documentation - Contribute to architecture and integration activities ### Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree with **8+ years** relevant experience, **or** Master’s degree with **6+ years** relevant experience - **Top-Secret clearance** minimum; ability to obtain **TS/SCI** and maintain clearance - Demonstrated experience with **Java 8+** (Stream APIs, Future APIs, Lambda expressions) - Experience with **Spring Framework / Spring Boot** - Experience with **microservices**, **containerization**, and **Kubernetes** - Hands-on experience with **AWS** (e.g., EC2, RDS, ElastiCache) - Experience with **relational databases** (e.g., PostgreSQL) - Experience with **messaging services** (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ, Camel) - Experience with **remote debugging (JDWP)** - Experience working in **Linux** - Experience with modern tools: **Jira, Confluence, Git** ### Desired Qualifications - Experience in **Agile** or **SAFe** environments - Background in software design principles, design patterns, and enterprise integration patterns - Advanced Spring concepts (Auto Configuration, WebFlux, AOP, Security, distributed configuration) - Java automation/synthesis libraries (e.g., Lombok, MapStruct) - Advanced microservice concepts (clustering, distributed tracing, decentralized governance, fault isolation, circuit breaking) - Background in physics, mathematics, or aerospace - **CompTIA Security+ CE** (or progress toward certification) ### Benefits (Highlights) - Heavily subsidized employee benefits for you and dependents - **25 days PTO** accrued annually (up to a cap) - Eligible for an attractive bonus plan - Medical, dental, vision, life, health savings account, disability, EAP, parental leave, 401(k), paid holidays ### Target Salary Range **$135,000 - $216,000** (typical range; determined by experience, education, skills, location, and contract/business considerations) ### Application Notes - Estimated application period: **30 days** from posting date (may vary) - On-camera interview and identity verification may be required - **AI tools are strictly prohibited** during Peraton interviews unless prior written authorization is obtained ### Equal Opportunity Peraton is an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans.
