**Senior Software Engineer - Cameras** **Who We Are** Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform covering video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. **What You’ll Do** - Own end-to-end development of on-device camera platform features in **C++** and **Golang** (feature design, implementation, integration, and maintenance) - Own the camera and image processing/quality pipeline on the device - Partner with streaming, storage, and AI engineering teams to deliver features optimized for **edge computing** environments - Drive and coordinate regular **over-the-air (OTA)** releases to ensure platform stability and reliability - Lead code reviews, guide debugging, and uphold coding standards to improve maintainability and reduce defects - Collaborate with product to translate requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions and technical specifications **What You Bring** - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field **and** 3+ years of systems software development experience - *OR* Bachelor’s degree **and** 5+ years of systems software development experience - Knowledge of **C++** or **Golang** - Knowledge of **bash scripting** and **Python** - Knowledge of building software for **Linux-based** platforms - Knowledge of developing and tuning **camera image pipelines** - Ability to work **onsite five days per week** **US Employee Benefits (Highlights)** - Healthcare programs (premiums covered for employees under at least one plan; family premiums covered under all plans) - Nationwide medical, vision, and dental coverage - 401(k) match starting January 2027 (with vesting at 2-year anniversary) - HSA with employer contributions and FSA options - Expanded mental health support - Paid parental leave and fertility benefits - Flexible PTO, paid holidays, and personal sick time - Professional development stipend - Wellness/fitness benefits and healthy lunches provided daily **Additional Information** - Must be independently authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship/transfer at this time) **Estimated Annual Pay Range** - **$290,000 – $290,000 USD (OTE)** **Equal Opportunity Employer** Verkada is committed to equal employment opportunity and does not discriminate on protected characteristics.
