## Cyber Reverse Engineer **Peraton Overview** Peraton is a next-generation national security company delivering trusted solutions and enterprise IT capabilities to protect the nation and allies. Peraton operates across traditional and nontraditional threats in land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. **Location** - **100% on-site** in **Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD** --- ## Responsibilities - Work hands-on with **state-of-the-art UAS electronics and systems** - Perform **basic analysis and evaluation** of applications in support of the team’s work on new technologies - Support **team and personal professional growth** through a learner’s mindset --- ## Qualifications ### Required - **Active Secret Clearance** with ability to obtain **TS/SCI** - **U.S. Citizenship** - Experience: - **2 years with BS/BA**; **0 years with MS/MA** - Ability to learn and grow as part of an **interdisciplinary team** - Passion for solving puzzles and curiosity about how **digital systems** work - Experience working in a **Linux** environment - Basic knowledge of **cryptography** and cryptographic systems - Experience with a programming language such as **Python, Java, or C/C++** - Strong **written and verbal communication** skills - Understanding of **software architecture** and software development best practices - Experience with **binary analysis** or **software reverse engineering** - Experience with tools such as **Ghidra, Binary Ninja, IDA, JADX, x64dbg, or GDB** ### Desired - Knowledge of **cybersecurity best practices** and security principles - Familiarity with **Android OS**, mobile device debugging, and reverse engineering **APK** files - Experience with benchtop equipment (e.g., **oscilloscopes, signal/power analyzers, multimeters**) - Experience performing **micro-soldering** - Experience with unmanned systems such as **UAS, UGV, and USV** - Familiarity with programmatic use of **APIs** - Experience working with **containers** at a technical level - Experience leveraging interfaces/protocols such as **I2C, JTAG, UART, SPI, USB, and Ethernet** --- ## Target Salary Range - **$80,000 – $128,000** (typical range) - Final compensation depends on factors including scope/responsibilities, experience, education, skills, competencies, and geographic/business considerations - May include eligibility for **overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus** (depending on role) --- ## Benefits Eligible employees may receive: - Medical, dental, vision - Life and health savings account - Short/long-term disability - EAP - Parental leave - **401(k)** - **Paid Time Off (PTO)** and company-paid holidays (Full benefits listing: https://www.careers.peraton.com/benefits) --- ## Application Notes - Estimated application period: **~30 days** from posting date (may vary) - During review, you may be asked to participate in an **on-camera interview** and a process to **verify identity** - **AI tools are strictly prohibited** during Peraton interviews unless the candidate has prior written authorization - All interview responses must be the candidate’s own **EEO**: Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.
