## IT Engineer — Saronic Technologies ### About the Role Saronic Technologies is seeking a highly skilled IT Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. You’ll help protect and support our autonomous maritime technology by managing endpoint, identity, and security across a fleet of macOS, Windows, Linux, and mobile devices. This role involves troubleshooting advanced technical issues, driving root-cause analysis, and continuously improving IT infrastructure and end-user experience. ### Key Responsibilities - Manage security, compliance, and configuration for macOS, Windows, Linux, and mobile fleet using tools such as **Microsoft Intune** and **Jamf** (or similar) - Administer and support **Microsoft 365** (tenant configuration, licensing, and security/compliance settings) - Act as an escalation point for complex endpoint, identity, and device issues; perform root-cause analysis and document fixes - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Information Security, Network Operations, Systems Engineering) to resolve enterprise-level issues - Identify and deploy automation opportunities across the IT stack to reduce manual work and improve reliability - Design and roll out **conditional access** and security policies at scale with the security team - Automate OS, security, and application patching; proactively monitor fleet health and compliance - Improve end-user experience through optimization, automation, and streamlined processes - Partner with OT and engineering teams to support device and access needs in OT-adjacent environments - Support the device lifecycle (provisioning/deployment through refresh and retirement) - Own special projects, coordinate with relevant teams, and ensure timely completion - Document procedures, configurations, and runbooks; follow internal security policies and change management practices ### Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) - **4+ years** experience in endpoint engineering, systems engineering, or similar corporate IT engineering role - Hands-on experience administering **Jamf Pro** (or similar) in production (enrollment, profiles, policies, scripting, patching) - Hands-on experience administering **Microsoft Intune** (or similar) for Windows and mobile; working knowledge of identity platforms such as **Entra ID** or **Okta** (conditional access, device compliance) - Proficiency in at least one scripting language: **PowerShell, Python, or Bash**; experience automating tasks via **REST/Graph APIs** (preferred) - Solid understanding of **macOS and Windows internals**, device enrollment/provisioning workflows, and troubleshooting methodology - Working knowledge of networking and identity fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi/802.1X, VPN/ZTNA, certificates/PKI) - Working knowledge of **SSO and SCIM provisioning** (Entra ID/Okta) and how identity/device signals work together - Proven ability to serve as an escalation point (diagnosis, clear communication, documentation) - Strong customer-service skills and a data-driven approach to resolving issues - Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when rolling out fleet-wide changes ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting OT/industrial/manufacturing environments (segmented networks, OT-adjacent constraints) - Experience in defense/aerospace or other regulated environments; familiarity with **NIST 800-171** or **CMMC** - Experience with EDR/security toolin
