We’re looking for people who want to think bigger and move faster—helping redefine how people plan, work, and live. ## The Role — Backend Engineer (TypeScript) As a **Backend Software Engineer**, you’ll design, build, and maintain the **server-side components** of our applications. You’ll collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver **robust, scalable backend services**. *Note: This post is intended to enhance our talent pool while we prepare to launch the official job. If you’re a fit, we’ll reach out as soon as it’s posted.* ## Responsibilities - **Architect & Develop Services:** Design, implement, and maintain **RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs**, microservices, and server-side logic. - **Backend Stack:** **TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js** - **Frameworks & Libraries:** **LangChain, LangGraph, FastAPI** - **AI/LLM Capabilities:** Retrieval-Augmented Generation (**RAG**), prompt engineering, summarization, intent classification - **Tools & DevOps:** REST APIs, **CI/CD**, GitHub Actions, **Docker**, **Kubernetes**, Infrastructure as Code - **Database Management:** Schema design, query optimization, and data modeling - **Scalability & Performance:** Build solutions that scale to **millions of users**, optimizing throughput, latency, and cost - **Security & Compliance:** Authentication, authorization, encryption, and privacy/data protection compliance - **Testing & Quality:** Unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews - **Monitoring & Maintenance:** Monitoring, logging, alerting; troubleshoot production issues ## Requirements - **Education & Experience:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent practical experience - **Core Skills:** Proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python, Ruby), experience with frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Django, Express.js), and relational and/or NoSQL databases - **Architecture & Tools:** Distributed systems, microservices, cloud infrastructure (**AWS, GCP, or Azure**) - **Soft Skills:** Analytical/problem-solving mindset, effective communication, collaborative teamwork ## Benefits - Apple hardware ecosystem for work - Annual bonus - Medical insurance (including vision & dental) - Disability insurance (short & long-term) - 401(k) up to 4% contribution - Air Conference (meet the team, collaborate, grow) - Transportation budget - Free meals at the hub - Gym membership ## Diversity & Inclusion We’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
