You’ll be hands-on, client-facing, and directly influencing outcomes that matter. --- **Position Summary** The **SAP Basis Consultant III** is responsible for building and managing client SAP environments, including: - System installations, configuration, and maintenance - Performance monitoring and troubleshooting - System upgrades, migrations, and implementation of new designs This level brings deeper technical expertise and is expected to operate with greater independence on complex Basis engagements. --- **Essential Functions & Responsibilities** - Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and integrate requirements into technical specifications (often leading discussions independently) - Lead the design and implementation of SAP solutions, including building and implementing Proof of Concept (PoC) for new projects or add-ons - Provide advanced technical expertise and support across complex SAP landscapes (installations, migrations, and integrations) - Work with OS and DB Administrators to optimize system performance and ensure efficient operations - Maintain and manage system performance, upgrades, corrections, transport management (CTS/TMS), client and landscape strategies, and batch scheduling - Implement and manage SAP systems, including user administration, security measures, user access controls, authentication mechanisms, compliance with security standards, and performance monitoring - Conduct training sessions for end users and client personnel on SAP Basis processes - Create and maintain accurate technical documentation of SAP systems and processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations - Identify and resolve complex technical issues within the SAP environment, working with technical teams and SAP support, and serve as an escalation point for less experienced team members - Test and troubleshoot SAP Basis Services to ensure alignment with documented business processes
