Our intelligent global network routes web traffic for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs and Fortune 500 companies, improving performance while decreasing spam and other attacks. ## Available Locations - Lisbon - London - Austin ## About the team The **Zero Trust Connectivity** team builds the hub that connects **Cloudflare One** and **Zero Trust** products such as **Cloudflare WAN**, **Cloudflare One Client**, **Cloudflare Tunnels**, **Gateway**, and **Workers VPC**. This hub is powered by **Rust-based services** running across Cloudflare data centers. These services route Cloudflare One traffic end to end. As Zero Trust features evolve, the team evolves these hub services to deliver new capabilities while prioritizing **scalability and reliability**. ## About the role As a Software Engineer on the Zero Trust Connectivity team, you’ll contribute across a wide range of technologies and systems to deliver new solutions that connect Cloudflare One products together. You will build connectivity in a **user-space service** that can **identify and route flows** across Cloudflare’s global network. This work requires close collaboration with other teams and leveraging frameworks and libraries used across many Cloudflare products. **Tech stack includes:** Rust, Linux networking, Clickhouse, SaltStack, Prometheus, AI harnesses, and the Cloudflare Workers platform. ## Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience - Programming experience in **Rust** - Familiarity with **Layer 3 and Layer 4 Networking** - **Systems-level** programming experience in **Linux** - Experience building **large-scale, reliable, highly distributed systems** - Attention to detail; ability to solve complex customer problems - Ability to **own solutions end-to-end** (design, development, deployment) - Ability to work across teams and drive common, sustainable solutions - Creative, open-minded, collaborative problem solver - Focus on clarity in written and verbal communication - Leveraging **AI coding assistants** to accelerate development ## Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. - **Lisbon:** Estimated annual salary **€66,000–83,000** ## Equity This role is eligible to participate in **Cloudflare’s equity plan**. ## What makes Cloudflare special?
