This team accelerates the value Notion provides to an increasing audience of users. **Location:** San Francisco or New York City **Office schedule:** Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (Anchor Days) ### What You’ll Achieve - Build technical foundations that help the broader team and coding agents experiment, build, and ship more. - Drive technical and product vision as an engineering leader—building alignment across engineering and cross-functionally to bring clarity to the roadmap. - Deliver experiments end-to-end (ideation → analysis), balancing product and business needs. - Understand the Notion customer journey to uncover insights that drive activation and engagement. ### Skills You’ll Need to Bring - **Find the problems worth solving:** Use growth data, customer research, and the codebase to identify high-leverage opportunities and drive alignment. - **Data & experimentation as a practice:** Define success criteria, run A/B tests, and turn results into decisions others follow. - **Ship polished user interfaces:** Build fast, well-crafted web experiences with React and modern web technologies. - **Build with AI:** Create AI systems and coding agent workflows that keep producing after you step away—improving continuously with guardrails. - **Raise the bar for others:** Mentor engineers across tenures and share expertise so it scales. - **Pragmatism & impact orientation:** Prioritize for business impact while balancing craft, speed, and the bottom line. - **Put users first:** Consider real-world implications and the responsibility that comes with reach. ### Nice to Haves - Strong cross-functional collaboration history with marketing, sales, and/or other non-technical teams. - Familiarity with computing pioneers (e.g., Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay) and appreciation for their work. ### Compensation & Benefits Notion offers highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits.
