Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. ### Description Captivation Software is looking for a mid-level software engineer for a **DevOps-focused** position. You will oversee and monitor live production operations to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the project’s software application suite. **Responsibilities include:** - Identifying, diagnosing, and responding to service disruptions, performance degradation, and operational issues - Performing basic troubleshooting and corrective actions - Supporting system sustainment activities - Collaborating with development and operations teams to maintain system health, improve operational efficiency, and support continuous service delivery ### Requirements **Security Clearance** - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph - Therefore, all candidates must be **U.S. citizens** **Minimum Qualifications** - **Master’s** in Computer Science (or related) + **3 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity - **Bachelor’s** in Computer Science (or related) + **5 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity - **7 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity **Required Skills** - Experience using the **Linux CLI** and Linux tools - Experience developing scripts using **Bash** - Recent **Python (3.x)** software development experience - Experience with **NoSQL** databases including **MongoDB** - Experience with containerization technologies such as **Docker** and containers - Experience with **CI/CD** principles, methodologies, and tools including **GitLab CI** - Distributed logging and monitoring (e.g., **ELK Stack**, **Prometheus/Grafana**) - Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as **Kubernetes** - Familiar with **Helm Charts** to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes - Familiar with messaging frameworks including **RabbitMQ** - Familiar with **IaC** principles, methodologies, and tools such as **Ansible** - Experience with **Git** source control system **Desired Skills** - Experience with **SQL** databases including **PostgreSQL** - Experience with the **Atlassian Tool Suite** including **Jira** and **Confluence** ### Notes *This position is open for direct hires only.
