Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. --- ## Description Captivation Software is looking for a **Senior Level Software Engineer** responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools and services in support of the **Atlassian suite of products** including **Jira** and **Confluence**. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers—to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline workflows. --- ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable **Polygraph**; therefore, all candidates must be **U.S. citizens**. ### Minimum Qualifications - **Master’s** degree in Computer Science (or related) + **5 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **Bachelor’s** degree in Computer Science (or related) + **7 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **9 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. ### Required Skills - Experience using the **Linux CLI** and **Linux tools** - Experience writing **Bash/PHP** scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows - Recent software development experience using **Python** and **Java** - Experience using an IDE such as the **Atlassian Plugin SDK (SDK)** - Experience with **IaC** principles and automation tools such as **Ansible** - Experience with **CI/CD** principles, methodologies, and tools such as **GitLab CI** - Experience with **containerization** technologies such as **Docker** - Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes - Experience with **Git** for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration ### Desired Skills - Experience sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment - Experience interacting/training external customers --- > **Note:** This position is open for direct hires only.
