Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. --- ## Description Captivation Software is looking for a **Senior Level Software Engineer** to design, develop, deploy, and support solutions within a **high-performance computing (HPC) Linux environment**. You will have hands-on experience with **Large Language Models (LLMs)**, **LLM orchestration frameworks**, **retrieval/knowledge systems**, **embedding models**, and **containerized applications**. You must be proficient in **Python, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD automation**, and **secure SI system development**, delivering **scalable, production-ready** solutions in **mission-critical environments**. --- ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a **favorable Polygraph** (therefore all candidates must be **U.S. citizens**). ### Minimum Qualifications - **Master’s** in Computer Science (or related) + **5 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **Bachelor’s** in Computer Science (or related) + **7 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **9 years** experience as a SWE in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. ### Required Skills - Proven experience working in **Linux**, including advanced use of the **Linux CLI** for development, troubleshooting, and system administration - Recent hands-on software development using **Python** and modern software engineering practices/frameworks - Experience with **containerization** (e.g., **Docker**, **Podman**) for packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management - Experience designing, authoring, and deploying **Helm charts** for **Kubernetes** applications/services - Experience developing, testing, deploying, and supporting **containerized applications** in production - Experience creating/configuring/managing Kubernetes resources: **Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingresses, Operators** - Working knowledge of **Generative AI** technologies: **LLMs**, **RAG architectures**, **embedding models**, and **vector databases** - Experience implementing/maintaining **CI/CD pipelines** (e.g., **GitLab CI/CD**, **Flux CD**, **GitLab Runners**, or similar) - Experience with observability/monitoring: **Prometheus** and **Grafana** - Proficiency with **Git-based source control** workflows (branching, code reviews, PR/MR workflows) - Understanding of **SDLC best practices**: automated testing, security scanning, code quality analysis, and **DevSecOps** principles ### Desired Skills - Experience developing/deploying/troubleshooting/sustaining mission applications in **AWS Cloud** - Experience with **Atlassian** tools (**Confluence**, **Jira**) - Experience working with and debugging **GPU-enabled applications** - Experience using ML frameworks (e.g., **PyTorch**, **TensorFlow**) - Experience with ML pipelines/frameworks (e.g., **KubeFlow**, **NeMo**, **PyTorch Lightning**) - Experience with **SQL**, **Elasticsearch**, and **Vector databases** - Knowledge of SI inferencing solutions such as **NVIDIA NIM/TRITON**
