Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. --- ## Description Captivation Software is looking for a **Senior Level Software Engineer** responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting a project’s software suite of applications. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other **COTS** and **FOSS** products, packages, and libraries. --- ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a **favorable Polygraph**; therefore, all candidates must be **U.S. citizens**. ### Minimum Qualifications - **Master’s** in Computer Science (or related) + **5 years** experience as a SWE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **Bachelor’s** in Computer Science (or related) + **7 years** experience as a SWE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **9 years** experience as a SWE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. ### Required Skills - Experience using **Linux CLI** and Linux tools - Scripting with **Bash/Python** - Recent development experience using **Java** - **Spring Framework** (including **Spring Boot**, **Spring Data**, **Spring Integration**) - **SQL** databases (including **PostgreSQL**) - **NoSQL** databases (including **MongoDB**) - Containerization (e.g., **Docker**) - Container orchestration (e.g., **Kubernetes**) - Creating **Helm Charts** to deploy containerized services in Kubernetes - Messaging frameworks (e.g., **RabbitMQ** and **Kafka**) - Familiar with **CI/CD** principles and tools (e.g., **Bamboo**, **GitLab CI**) - Familiar with **IaC** principles and tools (e.g., **Ansible**) - Experience using **Git** source control ### Desired Skills - Experience with **Atlassian Tool Suite** (e.g., **Jira**, **Confluence**) --- ## Notes - **Direct hires only**: We will not consider candidates from third-party staffing/recruiting firms. --- ## Benefits - **Annual Salary:** $130,000 – $270,000 (depends on years of experience) - **Up to 20% 401(k) contribution** (no matching required; vested from day 1) - Above market hourly rates - **$3,600 HSA contribution** - **6 weeks paid time off** - Company-paid **medical/dental/vision**, **life insurance**, **short-term & long-term disability**, **AD&D**
