Captivation is looking for engineers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. --- ## Description Captivation Software is looking for a **Senior Level Test Engineer** responsible for planning, developing, executing, and automating testing activities for software applications, middleware, and infrastructure deployed in **High-Performance Computing (HPC)** environments to validate system requirements. This position ensures the **reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operational readiness** of HPC systems. --- ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a **favorable Polygraph**; therefore, all candidates must be **U.S. citizens**. ### Minimum Qualifications - **8 years** experience as a TE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **Bachelor’s degree** in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college/university. - **4 additional years** of TE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. ### Required Skills - Experience using **Linux CLI** and Linux tools - Proficient using **Bash/Python** scripting for task automation - Strong understanding of **Linux system administration** fundamentals - **3+ years** software testing / QA / validation experience in Linux environments - Experience developing and executing **test plans for HPC systems** - Experience integrating and testing **REST APIs** related to HPC systems - Demonstrated experience in **defect tracking and resolution** processes - Experience with software testing methodologies and **test lifecycle management** - Experience developing automated test solutions and validation frameworks - Experience with **CI/CD** principles, methodologies, and tools including **GitLab CI** - Experience with containerization technologies such as **Docker** and **PodMan** - Experience with **Git** source control ### Desired Skills - Experience with **Atlassian Tool Suite** (JIRA, Confluence) - Familiar with **Splunk** for searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated data - Familiar with **SAFe Agile** principles, methodologies, and best practices - Experience with **IaC** principles and automation tools including **Ansible** --- **Note:** This position is open for **direct hires only**.
