With exponential growth, we have exciting challenges ahead and are looking for a **Site Reliability Engineer** to join our team **remotely in Dallas, TX or Austin, TX**. --- **What you’ll do** - Build and support a fast-moving, high-growth service. - Design, implement, and operate **cloud infrastructure** using **infrastructure as code**, **deployment pipelines**, and safety guardrails. - Identify reliability anti-patterns and solve them systemically by diving into data to improve visibility and reliability across the service fleet. - Find and automate toil—preferably eliminating it entirely or building tools that empower users rather than acting as a gatekeeper. - Leverage **AI tools and platforms** to enable autonomous operations, reduce toil, and improve observability. - Help define and adopt reliability standards, including **SLO/SLI frameworks**, observability standards, and **blameless post-mortems**. - Support adoption of **AI-assisted developer tools** to increase productivity, enforce code quality, and enable real-time architectural validation. --- **What we’re looking for** - **2+ years** of progressive experience as an SRE or equivalent role. - Passion for solving problems and learning new tools/technologies (and the ability to say “I don’t know”). - Excellent communication skills working with stakeholders and domain experts to design solutions to user problems. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated ability to contribute to and take ownership of technical infrastructure projects. - Strong ownership: shipping production-quality code and infrastructure with **testing, monitoring, and documentation**. --- **Pay Range (USD)** - **$86,325 — $191,900** --- **AI-assisted hiring note** Navan uses an AI-assisted Automated Employment Decision Tool (Metaview) to help evaluate resumes against job qualifications. **Final decisions are made by human recruiters and hiring managers**, and you can request a human evaluation if you prefer to have your application reviewed without AI assistance.
