## Team Leader, Engineering - Account Linking **🔮 About Rocket Money** Rocket Money's mission is to empower people to live their best financial lives — offering members a unique understanding of their finances and a suite of services that save them time and money. **🤝 About the Team** The Account Linking team builds and maintains the integrations that connect members' financial accounts, providing reliable access to accurate, up-to-date balances, transactions, and financial data. This platform forms the foundation that enables Rocket Money to help members understand and manage their finances. **📋 In This Role, You'll:** - **Be the face of Account Linking** — Advocate for the team, foster relationships with engineering leaders, PMs, and ops, and help teams use financial data to unlock innovation - **Set the technical direction** — Guide architectural decisions and identify investments that keep the platform scalable and maintainable - **Champion reliability and data quality** — Define health metrics for account connections, lead improvements in monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis - **Drive delivery** — Own the team's quarterly roadmap, balancing new capabilities, reliability, and long-term system health - **Stay close to the work** — Engage through RFCs, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving; explore agentic development practices - **Support and grow the team** — Coach engineers, hold 1:1s, deliver performance reviews, and build individualized growth plans **🦄 About You:** - **8+ years** shipping production systems (Node/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Postgres or similar) - Experience supporting **external integrations** and driving **operational excellence** on platform teams - **1+ year leading** an engineering team, with a track record of leading senior ICs - Lead with **empathy and curiosity**, tailoring your style to each person - Turn ambiguous problems into achievable plans with **pragmatic judgment** - Strong **attention to detail, organization, and follow-through** on complex systems - FinTech or consumer app experience is a **plus, not required** **💫 We Offer:** - Health, Dental & Vision Plans - Competitive Pay - Matching 401k - Unlimited PTO - Daily Lunch + Snacks & Coffee - Commuter Benefits 💰 **Salary Range:** $150,000 – $200,000/year + bonus + benefits *(varies based on experience)* *Rocket Money is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
