We’re looking for a **Senior Product Test Engineer** to support deployment of test equipment across manufacturing and contract manufacturing sites, identify testing improvements, and partner with the internal test development team to strengthen product quality. You’ll help identify gaps in test coverage, perform initial root cause analysis on failed products, and support implementation of changes to ensure product quality. You’ll bring experience developing test strategies from concept through production deployment, standing up test lines, and performing root cause analysis across integration, production, and sustainment. **What You’ll Do** - Own the end-to-end product test strategy from concept through production launch (including **DFT requirements**, test coverage models, yield targets, and quality metrics). - Deploy, commission, and continuously improve **automated test systems** for high-volume manufacturing. - Design and specify custom **test fixtures, tooling, and interfaces** for product validation and production testing. - Collaborate with board designers to define and specify custom **interface boards** and test access points to maximize test coverage. - Define and optimize structural and functional test strategies (e.g., **ICT, MDA, flying probe**) to balance defect detection and functional validation. - Perform root cause analysis on field and manufacturing failures; drive corrective actions across design, quality, and manufacturing engineering; validate via regression testing. - Use test data analytics to identify trends, predict failures, and drive yield improvement. - Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and user documentation within **configuration management** and **MES** systems. - Work with contract manufacturers to replicate, validate, and maintain test capability at external production sites. - Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on test methodologies, equipment operation, and troubleshooting. **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields **OR** 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. - 8+ years of relevant experience in **manufacturing test** or **hardware/system integration**. - Experience working with contract manufacturers on **PCBA and electronic assembly testing**, including knowledge of PCBA testing standards and methods. - Proficiency with electronics test equipment (e.g., **power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition systems**). - Hands-on experience with board-level communication interfaces such as **SPI, I2C, and UART**. - Familiarity with **Python, LabVIEW, and/or MATLAB** for test automation and data visualization. - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (**TCP/IP**, routing protocols, network architecture, end-to-end signal flow). - Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware. - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to travel to remote sites to support test integration, commissioning, and sustainment. - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active **U.S. Secret security clearance**. **Preferred Qualifications** - 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
