Senior Site Reliability Engineer/Cloud Platform Engineer

About this role
## About Skyflow Skyflow secures the flow of data across datastores, models, and agents—helping enterprises protect sensitive data, enable safe AI deployment, and unlock value from applications, data platforms, and AI systems. ## Role: Platform Engineer (Hands-on) Build and run the infrastructure powering a multi-tenant, security-sensitive B2B cloud product used by enterprise customers worldwide. This is a hands-on engineering role (not ticket-queue operations). ### What you’ll do - Design and build automation to provision and manage cloud infrastructure end-to-end (onboarding, upgrades, scaling, decommissioning) across AWS/GCP and multiple deployment models (multi-tenant and dedicated/BYOC). - Write production-grade **Go** and **Python** services and **CLIs** that turn infrastructure operations into self-service platform capabilities. - Own and evolve the **Infrastructure-as-Code** stack (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, GitOps/ArgoCD) and drive fleet migrations (Kubernetes upgrades, node pool migrations, service mesh changes) with minimal customer impact. - Operate and scale core platform services: **Kubernetes**, **Istio** service mesh, **Aerospike/PostgreSQL**, **Kafka**, and GPU-backed inference workloads (capacity planning, cost efficiency, right-sizing). - Improve observability and alerting (metrics, logs, synthetic monitoring) and automate incident learnings into permanent fixes. - Partner with enterprise customers and their security/platform teams to gather requirements and deliver reusable solutions (standard modules/charts/tooling with minimal customization). - Own the infrastructure side of customer onboarding—from technical discovery to go-live—bridging customers and engineering. - Participate in on-call, lead incident response, and write root-cause analyses that drive corrective action. - Work with security/compliance to build guardrails (secrets management, access control, network policy, audit logging) so secure-by-default is the easiest path. - Continuously eliminate manual, repetitive, or error-prone infrastructure work (success = less org-wide toil, not more tickets closed). ### You have - **8+ years** in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE with real ownership of production cloud infrastructure. - Strong software engineering skills in **Go and/or Python**—tested, maintainable code; treat automation as software, not scripting. - Deep hands-on **Kubernetes** production experience and **IaC** tooling (Terraform, Pulumi, or OpenTofu). - Experience with at least one major public cloud (**AWS/GCP/Azure**); multi-cloud experience is a plus. - Track record building tools/platforms other engineers use (CLIs, provisioning frameworks, self-service portals, automation pipelines). - Comfort operating in B2B environments where changes carry compliance/security/contractual weight (e.g., dedicated/BYOC, uptime SLAs, audit requirements). - Strong incident-response instincts: debug distributed systems under pressure, drive real root-cause fixes, and communicate clearly. - Bias toward root-causing and automating away recurring problems. - Ability to lead, mentor, and technically guide junior/early-career platform engineers. ### Nice to have - Service mesh (Istio/Envoy), GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), or policy-as-code (OPA). - Experience operating stateful systems in production (Aerospike/PostgreSQL/Cassandra), Kafka, or GPU-backed inference workloads. - Security-sensitive/regulatory experience (PCI, SOC 2, HIPAA) and b
