We build a next-generation drug acquisition platform powered by cutting-edge technology, innovative cost-saving tools, and best-in-class customer service. **Job Summary** SmithRx is seeking a visionary **Staff Endpoint Engineer** to serve as the overarching technical authority and architect for enterprise endpoint infrastructure, the vendor ecosystem, and IT asset strategy—while also acting as the senior-most member of the IT team in our **Plano, TX** office. In this role, you will: - Define the **multi-year endpoint technology roadmap** - Drive alignment on **vendor integrations** - Architect **zero-touch, modern management frameworks** at scale - Partner with **Executive Leadership, Security, and Compliance** to meet **HIPAA** and **SOC 2** requirements **What You Will Do** - **Strategic Architecture & Ecosystem Vision:** Architect the enterprise Windows and modern workspace ecosystem; define roadmap, standards, and security baselines. - **Next-Gen Endpoint Management:** Lead design/governance for **Microsoft Entra ID**, **Microsoft Intune**, and **Windows Autopilot**; drive zero-touch provisioning and continuous compliance. - **Vendor Strategy & Strategic Partnerships:** Own vendor strategy and technical oversight; define onboarding frameworks and evaluate enterprise technologies. - **Virtual Workspace & Fleet Architecture:** Architect governance for **CloudPC / Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)** and third-party remote environments. - **Asset & Governance Strategy:** Establish total lifecycle governance, hardware refresh strategy, and SaaS asset management; partner with Finance/Operations. - **Enterprise Automation Frameworks:** Architect scalable automation (PowerShell, Python, APIs) for identity lifecycle workflows and endpoint remediations. - **Architectural Escalation & Root Cause Leadership:** Lead complex incident escalations and long-term RCA-driven prevention. - **Security Alignment & Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure endpoint/cloud strategies align with **HIPAA**, **SOC 2**, and **zero-trust**; architect IAM and conditional access. - **Mentorship & Engineering Standards:** Set standards, author high-level architecture designs (ADRs/runbooks), and mentor teams. - **High-Availability Leadership:** Provide technical consulting/escalation for major incidents and resilience across business-critical operations. **What You Will Bring to SmithRx** - **8+ years** in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or IT Infrastructure Operations; proven architectural leadership in high-growth and/or regulated environments. - Deep expertise in the **Microsoft stack**: Windows OS, Entra ID, Intune, dynamic groups, conditional access, and Autopilot. - Experience leading **vendor infrastructure** partnerships and onboarding frameworks. - Proven ability to architect/deploy/govern **CloudPC (Windows 365)**, **AVD**, or **VDI**. - Advanced scripting and automation: **PowerShell, Python**, REST APIs, and iPaaS. - Experience with **lifecycle & asset governance** and SaaS portfolio management. - Broad oversight of **heterogeneous environments** (e.g., macOS/Apple Business Manager, Jamf/Kandji, Google Workspace, Okta). - Experience designing infrastructure compliant with **HIPAA**, **SOC 2**, **ISO 27001**, or similar frameworks. - Strong **executive co
