You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises with/without AI assistance. *Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.* --- **About the Team** The Infrastructure Operating Group owns the platforms, systems, and tooling that engineering, product, and design teams build on—covering build/deploy pipelines, internal tools, and the reliability behind an app trusted by tens of millions of families. Infrastructure is treated as a **competitive advantage**: the real product is the velocity to build great member experiences, with a strong focus on developer experience and AI-native ways of working. --- **About the Job** We’re seeking an experienced **VP of Infrastructure Engineering** to lead the platform, systems, and infrastructure organization behind Life360’s products. You’ll shape technical strategy to scale reliably toward **2028 goals** of **150M monthly active users** and **$1B+ in revenue**, while helping the engineering organization adopt AI-native ways of working. --- **What You’ll Do** - **Strategic Leadership**: Define, communicate, and execute an infrastructure vision in partnership with functional counterparts; align infrastructure investment with business objectives. - **Developer Productivity & Enablement**: Build build/deploy pipelines, internal tooling, and self-service platforms that help teams ship faster (including AI-powered capabilities) without compromising security, privacy, or cost discipline. - **Reliability & Scalability**: Ensure secure, cost-effective scaling as growth and workload complexity increase—non-negotiables include uptime, latency, observability, and disaster recovery. - **Team Leadership & Culture**: Recruit, mentor, and grow a world-class infrastructure and platform engineering team; champion engineering craft and foster innovation and continuous improvement. - **Cross-Functional Alignment**: Partner with Engineering, Data Science/ML, Security, and Product leaders to plan and deliver strategic infrastructure initiatives, including compute/platform needs for AI-powered features. --- **What We’re Looking For** - Degree in Computer Science (or related field) - Seasoned infrastructure/platform engineering leader with a track record of building stellar teams - Many years leading large-scale infrastructure/platform organizations (including through managers/directors) - Deep technical fluency in distributed systems and cloud architecture - Proven experience scaling infrastructure for consumer products at massive scale - Direct experience with (or meaningful involvement in) an organization’s shift toward AI-native ways of working - Bias for speed: try new things, learn quickly, and it
