Backed by Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and Addition. **About the Role** Anyscale’s security needs are growing as we operate more production and cloud infrastructure for larger customers. You’ll own the security of that infrastructure in a hands-on, high-ownership role—driving how production and cloud environments are hardened, isolated, and monitored. 📍 **Location:** San Francisco Bay Area --- **What You’ll Do** - Own the security posture of Anyscale’s production and cloud infrastructure across **AWS and Azure** (hardening, network segmentation, tenant isolation) - Own **runtime security coverage** across **Kubernetes** (from deployment through detection of anomalous activity) - Partner with engineering on secure infrastructure architecture and secure production environment design - Manage cloud security posture end-to-end: **triage, prioritization, and remediation** with resource owners - Define and drive cloud infrastructure security standards (baseline configs, IaC security, key & secrets management) - Drive fine-grained, role-based access to production with engineering and IT - Feed infrastructure findings into **vulnerability management** and **risk reporting** --- **What You’ll Bring** - **8+ years** in security engineering with deep focus on cloud and infrastructure security (ideally at a high-growth startup) - Hands-on experience securing **multi-cloud** environments (**AWS + Azure**) and **Kubernetes** - Strong grounding in **infrastructure-as-code**, **cloud networking**, and **identity & access** - Experience with **CSPM** and runtime security tooling; ability to turn findings into prioritized, actioned work - Ability to independently own cloud infrastructure security, set direction, and make tradeoffs across teams - Fluency working directly with engineers on architecture and remediation --- **Nice to Have** - Experience securing **multi-tenant** production systems running customer workloads - Familiarity with **Upwind** or similar CSPM/runtime platforms - Experience contributing to **SOC 2** or **ISO 27001** evidence from the infrastructure side - Background in **AI/ML platforms** or **distributed systems** --- **Why Anyscale** - Mission: make scalable computing effortless (Ray as the AI Compute Engine) - Tech in production at companies like OpenAI, Uber, Spotify, Instacart, and Cruise - Backed by Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and Addition; **$250M+ raised** - Partnerships with **Azure, CoreWeave, and Google Cloud** - Competitive salary & equity; health/dental/vision coverage; flexible time off; paid parental leave; mental health support --- **Equal Opportunity Employer** Anyscale evaluates candidates without regard to protected characteristics.
