Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Arsenal 2)
Anduril Industries · Costa Mesa, California, United States
About this role
## Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Arsenal 2) ### About Anduril Anduril Industries is a defense technology company on a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by **Lattice OS**, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. ### About the Team (Maritime Digital Production - MDP) **Maritime Digital Production (MDP)** is the software and digital systems function within Anduril’s Heavy Metal division. MDP builds and deploys the full technology stack that powers Anduril’s shipbuilding factories, including: - Data infrastructure for real-time visibility of machines and sensors - **ArsenalOS** (manufacturing execution system) used by workers and planners - A scheduling engine that replans production in minutes (not days) - AI systems that eliminate manual toil across shop-floor and business operations MDP operates at the boundary between **Operational Technology (OT)** and **Information Technology (IT)**—incubating solutions near the production line, validating with real operators, hardening for reliability and security, and scaling across multiple sites. ### About the Job As a **Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer** on the **ArsenalOS Deployment** initiative, you’ll build full-stack web applications that power daily planning, work assignment, and team-lead dashboards on the factory floor. You’ll develop **offline-capable, mobile-friendly** interfaces for factory operators working in **network-constrained environments**, where reliability and usability are non-negotiable. ### What You’ll Do - Build full-stack web applications for daily production planning, work assignment, and operational dashboards - Develop offline-capable, mobile-friendly interfaces for the factory floor - Partner with manufacturing engineers and factory operators to translate workflows into software requirements - Write production-quality code with comprehensive tests; participate in code review and architecture discussions - Implement robust **offline-first** architectures (service workers, local storage, background sync) - Create responsive, touch-optimized mobile interfaces for harsh environments (gloves, low light, vibration) - Design data synchronization strategies with conflict resolution and data integrity between edge and backend systems - Deploy and operate systems in factory environments (edge compute clusters and OT networks) - Use AI tooling (coding assistants, automation) and contribute to team engineering practices - Join an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems - Collaborate cross-functionally across backend, data, factory systems, and operations teams - Set technical direction and mentor junior engineers ### Required Qualifications - **8+ years** building production software systems in fast-paced environments - Deep full-stack web development expertise (frontend + backend) - Fluency in modern architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud/edge infrastructure - Proficiency with web technologies including **JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js** - Experience building offline-capable web apps (service workers, IndexedDB, local storage, PWA patterns) - Experience operating reliably under real-world constraints (availability, latency, constrained environments) - Experience with large enterprise applications/platforms with high availability requirements - Stro
