## Zone & Company Software Consulting LLC (Zone) Zone is the ERP-native AI platform for financial operations built for organizations running on **Oracle NetSuite**. We automate, connect, and scale financial workflows directly within the ERP—supporting the full financial lifecycle (Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Treasury, Payroll Management, and Record-to-Report). --- ## About the Role Zone is seeking an **accomplished Director of Engineering** to lead and scale engineering teams across **the Americas**, overseeing **Platform Services & AI**, **Quote-to-Cash**, and **ZoneProcure**. You’ll collaborate with engineering and product partners in **EMEA** and **APAC** to deliver innovative solutions for global clients. This is a metrics-driven leadership role focused on removing friction, increasing efficiency, shaping engineering culture, driving AI strategy, and ensuring successful delivery across regions. --- ## What You’ll Do ### Leadership & Team Development - Attract, maintain, lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team across the Americas and EMEA. - Lead next-generation engineering practices, including **agentic SDLC**, **Spec-Driven Development (SDD)**, and the **AI Software Factory** model. - Collaborate with engineering teams in EMEA and APAC to align on technical vision, priorities, and delivery. ### Technical Excellence - Oversee design, development, and deployment of Zone’s **Platform and AI services (Zoe)** across the product portfolio. - Provide architectural oversight and hands-on technical leadership across: - **Python**, **JavaScript/TypeScript** - Agentic workflows - LLM/agent frameworks (e.g., **LangGraph**, **AgentCore**) - AI/ML pipelines - AWS services such as **AWS Bedrock**, **ECS**, **Lambda**, **Aurora**, **DynamoDB** - Conduct code and architecture reviews; provide technical mentorship. ### Project & Stakeholder Management - Ensure timely, high-quality delivery through planning and resource management. - Partner with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and other teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions. - Serve as a senior technical contact for strategic customer relationships in the region. ### Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Champion modern engineering practices: AI-powered development tools, **CI/CD**, **DevOps**, automated testing. - Drive remediation of technical debt and foundational architecture improvements. - Use metrics and insights to improve velocity, quality, and collaboration. --- ## What You’ll Need - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - **10+ years** progressive software engineering experience, including **5+ years** in senior leadership roles. - Proven experience with **Python**, **JavaScript/TypeScript**, AI/ML pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM/agent frameworks (e.g., **LangGraph**, **AutoGen**, **DSPy**). - Experience with AWS services including **Bedrock**, **ECS**, **Lambda**, **DynamoDB**. - Familiarity with agentic SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and DevEx. - Strong understanding of **APIs (REST/SOAP)**, data modeling, and systems integration. - Experience leading teams across the Americas and collaborating with **EMEA/APAC**. - Cross-functional experience with Product teams across geographies. - Domain experience in fintech, billing, reporting, or ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite is a plus). - Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to manage complex projects, budgets, an
