You’ll lead the design and evolution of systems at the intersection of real-time data processing, AI-powered insights, and customer-facing product experiences. This is a **remote position open to candidates residing in the US**. **You should apply if you want to:** - **Impact real-world industries**—your work helps keep workers safe and supports critical operations. - **Build for scale**—Samsara supports customers with millions of IoT devices. - **Be a life-long learner**—you’ll work across a wide range of technologies and challenges. - **Put customers first**—participate in customer interviews and use metrics to improve outcomes. - **Win as a team**—balance independent execution with strong collaboration. **In this role, you will:** - Own end-to-end development of customer-facing products and platform capabilities (design → implementation → rollout → operational excellence). - Ship new product experiences quickly, validate with customers, and iterate toward scalable, high-impact solutions. - Build AI-powered workflows and experiences using modern LLM and agentic technologies (evaluations, feedback loops, human-in-the-loop systems). - Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Design, ML, and platform teams to deliver cohesive experiences across web, mobile, APIs, and integrations. - Lead complex technical initiatives by resolving ambiguity, driving architectural decisions, and improving quality and scalability. - Champion Samsara’s cultural principles: **Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team**. **Minimum requirements** - 4+ years building, shipping, and operating scalable, reliable customer-facing production systems. - Experience delivering end-to-end solutions across backend services, APIs, and modern web applications. - Proven ability to move quickly, navigate ambiguity, and make thoughtful technical tradeoffs. - Experience or strong interest in AI-native development (LLMs, evaluations, agentic workflows). - Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and cross-functional partners. - Growth mindset, product intuition, and excitement for learning new technologies. **Ideal candidate also has:** - Experience building and scaling customer-facing AI/LLM-powered products in production. - Experience across the stack with technologies such as Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, and AWS. - Familiarity with LLM evaluation, monitoring, and optimization (feedback loops, observability, cost/performance tuning). - Experience operating in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments with distributed teams. **Total Rewards (high level)** Samsara offers above-market total compensation (base salary, performance-based bonus/variable pay, and equity for eligible roles), plus benefits such as a flexible remote model, professional development stipend, and comprehens
