Best in Business, and LinkedIn Top Startups. --- ## Your Role Zip is hiring a **Senior Manager, IT Operations & Information Security** to lead the team that keeps employees productive and corporate technology secure. This is a **player-coach** role: - ~**1/3 hands-on**: unblock urgent issues, configure systems, and lead incidents - ~**2/3**: set priorities, coach, and build a team that runs effectively without you ### Scope **Corporate security** includes: - Employee identities - Endpoints - SaaS applications - Office networks **Product security** is owned by other teams. You’ll lead a team across **San Francisco, New York, and Toronto**, with other global offices in the future. **Occasional travel** to NY and Toronto is expected. ### Lead IT’s work with AI Partner with Enterprise Technology and Internal AI to: - Roll out and secure AI tools employees use - Build agents that handle routine IT work - Set standards for how AI gets access to Zip systems so IT scales --- ## What You’ll Do - **Lead daily IT operations**: support coverage, ticket queues, escalations across time zones; ensure critical services have primary/backup owners; run an on-call rotation for after-hours incidents. - **Own the employee technology lifecycle**: partner with People and hiring managers on onboarding, role changes, and offboarding (devices, access, deprovisioning, session revocation, equipment recovery). - **Run core IT systems**: administer and improve **Google Workspace, Okta, Iru, Zoom**, and the IT service management platform; keep standards, documentation, and runbooks current. - **Manage endpoints, identity, and access**: device lifecycle, patching, compliance; **SSO, MFA, SCIM** provisioning; regular access reviews enforcing least privilege. - **Keep offices connected**: office networking, Wi‑Fi, **Zoom Rooms**, and conference-room AV with Workplace and integrators (including moves/buildouts). - **Lead corporate security operations & incident response**: own security for identities, endpoints, SaaS, and office networks; direct the senior security engineer and managed monitoring provider; triage alerts; drive vulnerabilities/misconfigurations to remediation; act as incident commander; support audits (**SOC 2, ISO 27001**), security awareness, and customer security reviews. - **Build AI-native IT**: design and ship agents/automations for routine requests end to end (with approvals and logging); measure resolution and failure points; teach the team to build. - **Secure AI tools and agents**: set access/approval/logging standards for AI tools, service accounts, and agents. - **Build the team & measure results**: hire, coach, manage performance; own budgets, vendors, and renewals; track response/resolution times, onboarding readiness, deprovisioning timeliness, device compliance, and employee satisfaction to set quarterly priorities. --- ## Qualifications - **8
