Our platform makes existing applications instantly work on Snowflake by bringing virtualization principles to the database. The runtime enables customers to move to Snowflake without changing SQL or APIs—making time-consuming migrations obsolete. As a leader on this team, you’ll tackle intricate database implementation challenges while pioneering an industry-first framework that customers consistently describe as “too good to be true.” ### What you’ll do - Provide strong technical leadership across the entire product suite of AIM-V, including the runtime, tools and utilities, as well as deployment. - Drive an AI-based development process across the platform—from requirements analysis and design, through development, validation, and release. - Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and field engineering to empower customers. - Define and improve engineering processes around AI-based software synthesis workflows. - Solve real business needs at large scale using software engineering and analytical problem-solving skills. ### What you’ll bring - 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale systems and enterprise software. - 8+ years of experience managing expert engineering teams. - Track record owning the full software development lifecycle from inception to release. - Strong background in SQL and/or other functional programming languages. - Solid knowledge of database internals, with emphasis on query parsing, query optimization, and query execution. - MS/PhD in Computer Science (databases, high-performance computing, or related fields). ### Why join Snowflake - Build an industry-leading Cloud Data and AI Platform. - Solve challenging technical problems across security, parallel/distributed systems, resource management, and large-scale system maintenance. - Work closely with customers & partners to understand use cases, think strategically, and innovate with rigor. - Join a world-class team of industry veterans and rising stars. **US roles:** For salary and benefits information, please visit the Snowflake Careers Site: https://careers.snowflake.com
