## Anduril Industries — Software Engineering Manager (ArsenalOS Deployment) ### About the Team **Maritime Digital Production (MDP)** is the software and digital systems function within Anduril’s Heavy Metal division. MDP builds and deploys the full technology stack that powers Anduril’s shipbuilding factories—covering the data infrastructure, the **manufacturing execution system (ArsenalOS)**, scheduling, and AI systems that reduce manual toil. MDP operates at the boundary between **Operational Technology (OT)** and **Information Technology (IT)**. When systems go down, **production stops**—so reliability and operational excellence are critical. ### About the Job As a **Software Engineering Manager for ArsenalOS Deployment**, you will lead a team of full-stack engineers building applications that support **daily planning, work assignment, and team-lead dashboards** on the factory floor. You’ll drive technical excellence, hire and develop top engineering talent, and ensure your team delivers **offline-capable, mobile-friendly** interfaces for factory operators. ### What You’ll Do - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack engineers building ArsenalOS applications for production planning, work assignment, and operational dashboards. - Hire exceptional engineering talent and build a high-performing team balancing speed, quality, and operational excellence. - Set technical direction and architectural standards (offline-first, mobile-responsive design, edge deployment patterns). - Partner with manufacturing engineers, factory operators, and production leadership to ensure software meets real operational needs. - Drive delivery and execution—ship high-quality features on time while maintaining production stability and meeting availability SLAs. - Ensure production-quality code with comprehensive tests; participate in code review and establish best practices. - Own operational excellence for ArsenalOS (on-call rotations, incident response, post-mortems, reliability improvements). - Collaborate with product managers to translate manufacturing requirements into roadmaps and prioritize work. - Work cross-functionally with backend, data, infrastructure, and manufacturing operations teams to integrate with MES, data pipelines, and enterprise systems. - Deploy and operate systems in factory environments, including edge compute clusters and OT networks. - Champion AI tooling adoption (coding assistants, automation) and improve engineering practices. - Manage performance, provide feedback, and support career growth through coaching and mentoring. - Establish and track engineering metrics (deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR, code quality). - Represent ArsenalOS Deployment in technical discussions and architectural reviews. ### Required Qualifications - **8+ years** software engineering experience building production systems, including **2+ years** in engineering management or technical leadership. - Proven track record hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing teams in fast-paced environments. - Deep technical expertise in **full-stack web development** (frontend + backend). - Strong fluency in modern architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud or edge infrastructure. - Experience managing teams building web applications with **high availability** and operational constraints. - Demonstrated ability to balance technical execution with people management and mentorship. - Experience with operational excellence (
