More than 1,500 firms in 60 countries use Addepar to manage and advise on nearly $10 trillion in assets, with an open platform integrating with hundreds of software, data, and consulting partners. **The Role** Addepar’s Research Engineering team works with financial researchers to turn extensive datasets into insight. We’re seeking a **Senior Software Engineer – Investor Solutions** to help design, build, and optimize our next-generation **Research Platform**—spanning big data in **Databricks**, **web applications**, and everything in between. You’ll work on enterprise risk calculation engines and private fund analytics and benchmarking tools used by institutional investors to measure, model, and manage risk across billions of dollars in global portfolios. As our global footprint grows, you’ll lead key architectural work, mentor teammates, and help build resilient, high-throughput systems. **What You’ll Do** - Work across the stack, including **Python, Databricks, Java**, and web technologies - Take projects through the full lifecycle: **design, architecture, prototyping, development, release, iteration, and monitoring** - Build new systems and improve existing ones (from small fixes to large projects) - Partner with researchers and product managers to shape the platform’s direction - Share knowledge through **design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring** **Who You Are — Required** - **5+ years** of professional software engineering experience - Strong experience with **Python or Java** - Experience designing and operating **production systems** - Clear communication with both technical and non-technical collaborators **Helpful, but not required** - Experience with **Databricks, Spark**, or other large-scale data processing - Experience with **web application development** - Familiarity with **financial data, risk analytics, or investment concepts** **Compensation (US Base Salary Range)** - **$134,000 — $209,000 USD** (base salary range) - Total compensation includes **base salary + bonus + equity + benefits** **Values** - **Act Like an Owner** - **Build Together** - **Champion Our Clients** - **Drive Innovation** - **Embrace Learning** **Equal Opportunity & Accommodation** Addepar is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to inclusion and belonging.
