## Junior Software Engineer (AWS Cloud Services) ### Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company delivering trusted enterprise IT and mission capability solutions for government agencies and the U.S. armed forces. ### Location & Schedule - **Work Location:** Onsite — Lanham, Maryland - **Shift Schedule:** 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) ### Responsibilities - Support **technical design and development** of enterprise applications - Assist with **migration of legacy/on-prem applications to AWS** and related technologies - Contribute to **application architecture, design, development, unit testing, implementation, and production support** under technical leadership - Design and develop solutions using: - **Java 17+**, **Spring Boot**, **Spring Batch**, **Informatica**, **JBoss** - Develop and integrate cloud-based solutions using **AWS** services including: - **EC2, S3, SDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, AWS CLI** - Design, deploy, and support **containerized services** using **OpenShift** and **Kubernetes** - Support implementation of **coding standards, architecture, and development best practices** - Review designs and code for **quality, scalability, security, and performance** - Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues - Collaborate with business, technical, architecture, and project teams across the development lifecycle ### Qualifications **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree **and 2 years** of professional experience, **or** high school diploma **and 6 years** of professional experience - **U.S. Citizenship required**; ability to obtain and maintain a **Public Trust clearance**; work must be performed within the United States - **2+ years** application development experience in an **agile** environment using: - **Java 17+**, **Spring Boot**, **Spring Batch** - Hands-on experience with **AWS** services: - **EC2, S3, SDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, AWS CLI** - Experience with **design, development, unit testing, implementation, troubleshooting, and production support** - Strong **technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication** skills **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience supporting **front-end and back-end** development - Strong **Java/JBoss** experience - Experience with **full-stack** development in complex enterprise environments - Experience in **Agile** environments and cross-functional technical collaboration ### Target Salary Range **$66,000 – $106,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors including experience, education, skills, and location).
