**Database Engineer (MongoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS)** **Company Overview** Peraton is a next-generation national security company delivering trusted solutions and enterprise IT capabilities for government missions worldwide. **Location & Schedule** - **Onsite:** Lanham, Maryland - **Shift:** 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) **Responsibilities** - Design and implement **ETL workflows** using **Informatica** and **AWS Glue** - Develop data transformation logic for **schema compliance**, **data accuracy**, and **data quality** - Integrate data from **on-prem**, **cloud**, and **legacy systems** - Implement **data validation** and **quality checks** - Optimize **pipeline performance**, **scalability**, and **reliability** - Maintain **data lineage tracking** and documentation - Serve as a **Data SME**, providing technical guidance to development and technical teams - Support database design, **data modeling**, **performance tuning**, optimization, implementation, and operational support - Support **MongoDB**, **Aurora PostgreSQL**, **RDS**, and relational database environments including **Oracle** - Support ETL platforms for large-scale databases (**5TB+**) - Troubleshoot complex database issues and identify performance/operational improvements - Support **Databricks** and enterprise-level data solutions - Collaborate with developers, architects, and technical teams to build scalable, high-performing data integration solutions **Qualifications** **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree and **5+ years** of professional experience, **or** High School Diploma/equivalent and **9+ years** - **U.S. Citizen** with ability to obtain/maintain required **Public Trust** clearance - **5+ years** demonstrated database **ETL** experience - Strong hands-on expertise with **MongoDB**, **Aurora PostgreSQL**, **RDS**, and relational database technologies including **Oracle** - Experience with **ETL tools** such as **Informatica** and **AWS Glue** - Experience supporting **large-scale databases (5TB+)** and optimizing enterprise environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and availability - Ability to provide technical expertise and guidance on database architecture, design, implementation, and operational support **Preferred Skills** - **Active IRS MBI Clearance** - Experience with **Databricks** - Databricks foundational/basic certification desired - Informatica/AWS Glue certification desired - Experience supporting highly scalable, enterprise-level database environments **Target Salary Range** - **$86,000 – $138,000** (typical range; final offer depends on experience, education, location, and contract/business factors) **Benefits** Eligible employees may receive medical, dental, vision, life, HSA, short/long-term disability, EAP, parental leave, **401(k)**, **PTO**, and company-paid holidays. **Application Notes** - Application period estimated at **30 days** from posting date (may vary) - On-camera interview and identity verification may be required - **AI tools are strictly prohibited** during Peraton interviews unless prior written authorization is obtained **EEO** Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.
