This role is for high-agency product engineers who care about both **what** they build and **how** they build it—shipping quickly and using AI as a core part of their workflow. **Location & Salary** - **£130,000** - 📍 **Salary based on London** (other locations may vary) --- ## 🎯 The Role We’re hiring a **Senior Software Engineer** who thinks like a product owner and ships like a startup engineer. You’ll: - Own features **from idea to launch** - Work directly with **Product and Design** to decide what to build - Build across our **TypeScript, React, and Node.js** stack - Put work in front of creators and fans fast, measure impact, and iterate - Have real ownership of product areas from day one - Use AI centrally—both via AI-assisted development tools and by building **AI-powered product features** --- ## 🚀 What You’ll Do - Own product features end to end: **scoping → design input → launch → iteration → measuring impact** - Build full-stack with **TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js** (APIs + data models) - Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap, challenge assumptions, and find the simplest path to value - Build AI-powered experiences (e.g., **chat, content generation, personalisation, moderation**) - Experiment with **LLMs, embeddings, and AI integrations** in real user workflows - Use data and user feedback to decide what to build next (and what to cut) - Leverage AI coding tools such as **Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot** to accelerate delivery - Stay close to users: talk to creators, read support feedback, and watch metrics - Contribute to technical discussions, engineering standards, and code reviews; help others level up --- ## 👀 Who You Are - **5+ years** of professional experience building and regularly shipping user-facing product - Strong product sense with examples of features you owned and the results they drove - Production experience with **TypeScript + React**, plus solid backend/API work in **Node.js** (REST/GraphQL/Next.js API routes or similar) - Experience in fast-moving startups or scale-ups where you shipped often and owned outcomes - High agency: identify problems and solve them without waiting for direction - Comfortable with ambiguity—turning a loose problem into a shipped solution - Fluent with AI coding assistants; curious about building with LLMs - Relentless in execution: ship, iterate, improve - Open to feedback and generous with it --- ## ✨ You’ll Thrive Here If - You care about **user outcomes**, not just code quality - You want to see your work in front of creators and fans within days, not quarters - You prefer **ownership** over narrow task execution - You’ve built things on your own initiative (at work or outside it) - You believe **AI-native development** is the future
