**A Rare Opportunity to Shape the Future of Genomics** BillionToOne is seeking a **Senior LIMS Engineer (Prenatal)** to join our **Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)** team in support of **clinical patient testing** in our **high-throughput CLIA lab**. This is an **onsite role** at our **Union City** lab, with flexibility to work from home or at our **Menlo Park** site when applicable. --- ## What You’ll Do - Develop **modern, user-friendly, secure software** for our clinical lab - Solve complex issues in **sample handling, automations, or infrastructure** affecting lab processing - Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, facilitate **UAT**, iterate on feedback, complete quality system paperwork, and launch products - Work independently and prioritize projects based on company goals - **Mentor** junior LIMS engineers and technical members across teams - Participate in **code reviews**, **verifications**, and **validations** - Ensure compliance with relevant **corporate and regulatory requirements** --- ## Requirements - Bachelor’s degree with a **Biological or Computational** focus - Experience with **Python** and **AI-assisted development** - **5+ years** experience developing **LIMS**, apps, or customer-facing tools - Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose advanced technical issues - Experience developing **scripting solutions** for automation - Strong attention to detail; able to work flexibly under accelerated timeframes - Highly organized with strong **written and verbal communication** skills - Creative problem-solver who enjoys a variety of daily tasks --- ## Nice-to-Haves - Experience working in **CLIA lab**, **medical device**, or **pharma** - Data analysis experience using **Python, SQL, or Excel** - Familiarity with **Quality Management Systems** and related regulations (e.g., **CFR 21 Part 11**, **ISO 13485**) --- ## Compensation & Benefits (Summary) - Total compensation package: **$209,507/year** - Base pay range: **$152,309 – $163,189/year** - Multiple medical benefit options (employee premiums paid 100% for select plans; dependents covered up to 80%) - **Family Bonding Leave** for new parents: **16 weeks paid at 100%** - Retirement savings program with a **4% company match** - Generous paid time off with tenure - Latest hardware and daily on-site lunches - On-campus perks (including gym/restaurant) and free EV charging --- *BillionToOne is an equal opportunity employer.*
