## Member of Technical Staff (Frontend) ### About Footprint Footprint is an agentic platform that learns your compliance program and runs it end to end—helping compliance teams at banks and fintechs reduce manual review workloads while improving auditability and decision quality. Percy (their agentic system) clears false positives, escalates real risk, writes case narratives, and documents every decision for audit. The platform builds organizational “memory” so patterns discovered by analysts can surface automatically across KYC, EDD, sanctions, and monitoring. ### The Role You’ll report to the **Head of Frontend Engineering (Rafael Motta)** and help own the frontend “front door” for developers and the analyst-facing interface where users do their jobs. You’ll work across: - **User-facing features (end to end):** from spec → build → deploy → iterate, making product/design tradeoffs along the way. - **Analyst-facing surfaces:** including the **SDKs** external developers use to embed Footprint (clean APIs + great docs). - **Platform & tooling:** CI/CD, releases, and the **pnpm monorepo**. - **Performance & observability:** performance budgets and monitoring for screens people use all day. - **Design system:** own and evolve the component library for consistency, accessibility, and speed. - **Customer empathy:** talk to users and turn their pain points into product improvements. ### Stack - React, TypeScript - Next.js - Tailwind - Vercel ### Must-Haves - **4+ years** shipping production frontend in modern **React + TypeScript** - Fluent in both and comfortable moving fast in a large shared codebase - Ship end-to-end, prioritize outcomes, and make smart tradeoffs (speed/polish/scope) - Strong design sense; sweat the details in the interfaces you ship - Write readable, well-structured code; can lead technical decisions without over-engineering - Own the lifecycle of what you ship (release, performance budget, alerting when regressions happen) - Use AI to move faster and raise quality; read every line you ship ### Nice-to-Haves - Experience building/maintaining **SDKs** or developer-facing APIs - Strong accessibility and web performance instincts - Familiarity with **KYC, identity, fraud, or compliance** - Comfort dipping into a **Rust backend** when needed so features don’t wait on other queues ### Success Looks Like - **90 days:** You’ve built and owned a product area and its UX (e.g., configuring agents, auditing case reports, or adding verification capabilities). - **1 year:** You’ve driven a major initiative end to end; the frontend platform is measurably faster to build on, and your work becomes the reference for hard frontend changes. ### Why Join Footprint - **Massive impact, fast:** shape company direction, not shelved analysis - **Meaningful ownership:** direct ownership from day one - **Real growth opportunity:** promotion timelines depend on performance - **Winning team & culture:** fast-moving, no-BS, and fun ### Benefits - 💰 Generous compensation and equity packages - 🍽 Free lunch and dinner (after 7pm) - 💪 Monthly wellness stipend - 🏖 Unlimited PTO - 🏥 Fully covered health, dental, and vision insurance - 🚀 Help shape the future of internet identity and financial crime prevention
