**Sr. Systems Engineer** *American Heart Association | Dallas, TX* **Overview** Join our Business Technology team and help build the infrastructure that powers our mission to fight cardiovascular disease. We're seeking a skilled Sr. Systems Engineer to design and maintain secure, scalable application infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and build secure, scalable infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Deploy and manage cloud services (compute, storage, databases, networking, Kubernetes, AWS ECS) • Design cloud networking and security configurations (VNets/VPCs, security groups, routing) • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure provisioning • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization • Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resilience • Partner with development and architecture teams on infrastructure requirements • Provide operational support, incident response, and on-call coverage **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience • 5+ years of relevant infrastructure/cloud engineering experience • Expertise: Azure, AWS, Terraform, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, networking/security • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills **What We Offer** • Competitive base salary with regular market reviews • Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) • Robust retirement program with employer match • Minimum 16 PTO days + 12 paid holidays annually • Professional development through Heart U corporate university • Tuition assistance and mentoring programs • Employee wellness programs and EAP **Reports to:** Sr. Director, Infrastructure & Operations *EOE/Protected Veterans/Persons with Disabilities*
