We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises building AI systems, and we’re looking for people who want to help increase model capabilities and customer value. ### What you’ll do - Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and partner teams by clearly articulating business risks associated with security issues - Harden cloud-native environments (AWS, OCI, GCP) by introducing secure-by-default cloud controls - Own and drive resolutions to enable engineers to design, build, and use infrastructure securely at scale (using infrastructure-as-code modules and reusable code libraries) - Manage IAM/RBAC for cloud infrastructure and partner with IT to streamline authentication/authorization for unified access control - Deploy, integrate, and operationalize security platforms and services, including (but not limited to) SIEM, SOAR, domain monitoring, endpoint tooling, and cloud security tooling - Respond to security incidents and harden environments post-incident - Support control monitoring and remediation for compliance initiatives - Gather and analyze security metrics to address security issues with cross-team dependencies - Partner empathetically with engineering teams to deliver practical, scalable security solutions without unnecessary friction ### You may be a good fit if you have - 5+ years of experience in SecOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Threat Detection & Response, or software development with a strong focus on security engineering - Hands-on experience automating controls and building scalable solutions (not relying on manual processes) - Experience managing cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI) and Kubernetes environments - Familiarity with CI/CD systems and SecOps workflows (e.g., Git, Terraform) in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI) - Practical experience with one or more of: infrastructure automation, network segmentation, system hardening, container/cloud security concepts, and security observability - Experience with one or more languages such as Golang and/or Python - Comfort navigating ambiguity, making informed decisions with incomplete information, and adapting as requirements evolve - A flexible, constructive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make trade-offs between build vs. buy - Understanding of secure engineering best practices and the ability to communicate problem statements and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences ### Full-time perks at Cohere - Weekly lunch stipend: $75/£75 (or equivalent in local currency) - Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget for mental health - RRSP matching, 401K, Pension Scheme - 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months (for either parent) - Annual enrichment benefits (arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time) + workspace improvement credit - Education & learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching - 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!) - Budget for travel to other offices if remote, plus an annual company offsite ### How and where we work - Remote-friendly, with offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin, and Seoul (more opening soon) - Office perks include daily lunch program, snacks, and regular community/social events - Fo
