About this role
**About the Role** iCapital is seeking an **Assistant Vice President Python Developer** to join the growing **Core Operations Technology** team. You’ll have foundational experience in Python and a passion for building scalable, high-performance applications. You’ll collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions. **Responsibilities** - Develop, test, and maintain **Python-based applications and scripts** - Write **clean, efficient, well-documented** code following best practices - Debug and resolve issues in existing code - Collaborate on **code reviews**, design discussions, and **agile** development processes - Participate in development of **REST APIs**, web services, and data processing pipelines - Assist in writing **unit tests** and automated test cases - Support integration of **third-party libraries and APIs** - Maintain version control using **Git** and follow **CI/CD** practices - Work with **AWS Lambda** for serverless computing tasks - Manage and interact with **AWS S3** buckets for file storage and retrieval - Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute improvement ideas **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience) - **5–7 years** of Python development experience, including **Python**, web scraping tools (**Playwright, Selenium**), **REST APIs**, **JSON**, and **Git** - Working knowledge of **SQL** and databases (**PostgreSQL, MySQL**), **Linux/Unix**, and web frameworks such as **Flask** or **Django** - Experience with **AWS** (including **Lambda** and **S3**); familiarity with **Azure** or **GCP** is a plus - Exposure to testing frameworks (**pytest**, **unittest**), **Docker**, front-end technologies (**HTML, CSS, JavaScript**), and **Agile** methodologies - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality **Benefits** - Base salary range: **$110,000–$135,000** - Compensation package includes **salary, equity**, and an **annual performance bonus** - Comprehensive benefits: employer-matched retirement plan; subsidized healthcare with **100% employer-paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling**; parental leave; **unlimited PTO** - Work model: **in office Monday–Thursday**, with flexibility to work remotely **Friday** *Equal Employment Opportunity/affirmative action statement and additional company info available on iCapital’s website.*
