You’ll help solve complex customer problems together—iterating until the best solution is found. --- ### How You’ll Find Success - Build trust through thorough communication - Bring strong curiosity - Take initiative and show scrappiness; ask for help early when blocked - Work well in teams (partnering with managers, cross-functional teams, and teammates) - Use an analytical mindset to approach problems and find solutions - Show a desire to learn new skills and grow in the role --- ### How You’ll Grow - Deepen skills building scalable, fast, robust, and simple SaaS solutions - Expand experience with distributed systems, containerization, and databases - Grow from owning components to contributing to larger technical designs - Learn from senior engineers, tech-ops, and product managers - Take on mentoring opportunities with new teammates and interns --- ### Things You’ll Do - Build scalable, reliable backend services and web interfaces - Implement new features and optimize existing ones to improve performance - Own well-scoped features and components from design through delivery - Work with senior engineers to clarify requirements and contribute to technical designs - Use AI-assisted tools to move faster; take responsibility for correctness, security, and performance - Write well-tested code and participate in code reviews (give and receive feedback) - Collaborate with product, design, and other XMD teams; join daily stand-ups - Share what you learn and help improve engineering practices --- ### What We’re Looking For On Your Resume - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field - 2+ years working in software engineering (full-stack or backend) - Solid algorithms, data structures, and coding fundamentals - Experience partnering with design/product to turn needs into end-user features - Contributions to scalable, fast, robust web-based solutions for complex business problems - Exposure to web infrastructure and distributed systems - Experience with continuous delivery, Git, test automation, and build/deploy systems --- ### About the Team (XMD) XM Directory captures and remembers interactions between customers, employees, and stakeholders—building living profiles that show what people need and how interactions make them feel. This experience context helps close the **Experience Gap** and enables AI (including Experience Agents) to act in the moments that matter. You’ll work on the data layer behind a big-data engineering effort, including storage systems and computation/serving layers designed for freshness, accuracy, and speed.
