About this role
## About Fluidstack Fluidstack exists to make humanity more free. We’re building civilization-scale AI infrastructure—acquiring power, designing and operating data centers, and delivering **10 to 100s of GW of compute faster than anyone else**. Speed and scale are our differentiators. ## How We Operate - **Be a barrel:** Full autonomy. Own things end to end—no permission required to operate outside your core role. - **Insane urgency:** Drive everything forward as fast as possible. - **Reason from first principles:** Challenge assumptions; no egos—the best idea wins. - **Love of the game:** Long hours at high intensity to push the frontier. - **Build something that actually matters:** Spend your time on work that matters to the world. ## The Security Team We’re securing the frontier of AI. **Examples of key problems the team is working on:** - **Secure frontier compute:** Model weights training on our infrastructure are high-value, targeted artifacts. A breach isn’t a leak—it’s the frontier walking out the door. - **Build the security program from scratch:** Own it end to end, from **bare metal to boardroom**, as we scale across continents. - **Threat surface measured in gigawatts:** Customers are building the most consequential technology in human history—responsibility for physical and logical security makes everything else feel small. ## Role Scope - Run the security program’s execution across **physical, logical, and datacenter security**, turning initiatives into tracked workstreams with owners, deadlines, and no dropped threads. - Drive cross-team security deliverables to closure (e.g., **bare-metal hardening, access control, incident response readiness, compliance evidence**) across engineering, datacenter operations, and IT. - Stand up the security org’s operating rhythm: reviews, risk tracking, audit/certification timelines, and leadership/customer reporting. - Translate security requirements into **new site builds and customer onboarding** so controls land **before compute does**. - Own program metrics and status: where the program is exposed, what’s on track, and what needs escalation **this week**. ## What We’re Looking For - You’ve run technical program management for a **security or infrastructure org**, holding engineers and external partners to deadlines. - You’ve driven a security/compliance initiative (e.g., **SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or customer security reviews**) from kickoff to evidence. - You translate between security engineers and executives—distilling a complex risk picture into decisions and next steps. - You’ve coordinated **incident response** or audit timelines where a slipped date had real consequences. - You track commitments, risks, and open items as a habit—nothing critical lives only in someone’s head. **Bonus:** - Physical security or datacenter security programs - Model-weight / high-value-asset protection - Security tooling rollouts - A security certification (e.g., **CISSP, CISM**) ## Physical Requirements - Work in **non-climate-controlled environments** (construction areas, data halls, electrical/mechanical rooms, outdoor spaces). Conditions may be hot/cold, humid, loud, or dusty. - Lift/carry/push/pull up to **40 lbs**. - Sit/stand/walk/kneel/bend/crouch for long periods, including full shifts on your feet. - Wear required **PPE** (hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection) and follow site safety rules. - Climb stairs and ladders; move around equipment, cabl
