About this role
**Security Systems Administrator** **About Fluidstack** Fluidstack exists to make humanity more free. We build and operate civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure—acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and running them with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. **How We Operate** - **Be a barrel:** Full autonomy. Own things end to end—no permission required to operate outside your core role. - **Insane urgency:** Move fast and push everything forward. - **Reason from first principles:** Challenge assumptions; the best idea wins. - **Love of the game:** Long hours at high intensity to push the frontier. - **Build something that actually matters:** Work that impacts the world. **The Security Team** You’ll help secure the frontier of AI. The model weights training on our infrastructure are among the most valuable and targeted artifacts in technology—so a breach isn’t a leak, it’s the frontier walking out the door. **Role Scope** - Define acceptance criteria that determine whether a building enters support, and own that gate as campuses across multiple gigawatt-scale sites move toward faster turnover. - Run the device remediation queue across **cameras, readers, and controllers** to meet response/resolution targets. - Execute **firmware and patch cycles** across a fleet spanning multiple gigawatt-scale campuses without taking video or access control offline. - Lead technical incident response when the system itself fails; drive vendor/integrator break/fix to closure. - Replace conventional physical security operations practices that don’t hold up at scale (e.g., manual inventories, unnecessary truck rolls, stale documentation). - Write runbooks and standards that work at every site so new campuses cost the team tooling—not headcount. **What We’re Looking For** - You’ve taken systems from project/vendor teams into production support and defined readiness/acceptance criteria. - You’ve owned a queue against service level targets and can explain resolution times and what you did to improve them. - You’ve replaced an industry practice with something better—clearly explaining the flaw and the impact. - You’ve supported an estate that grew underneath you and changed how work is done rather than requesting more people. - You’ve run patch/firmware campaigns where a bad update could cause an outage. - You administer **Windows Server in production**, including **Active Directory** and **certificates**. - Your runbooks are followed at 3am by someone who doesn’t call you. - You’ve escalated vendors/integrators to resolution and can show escalation history. **Bonus (Nice to Have)** - Video management and access control platforms (e.g., **Genetec Security Center, Milestone, Lenel**) - Physical security device fleets (cameras, readers, door controllers) - Enterprise virtualization and clustered storage (e.g., **Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, Nutanix, failover clustering, SMB**) - Scripted remediation (e.g., **PowerShell**) **Equal Opportunity** Fluidstack is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veterans’ status, or any other characteristic protected by law. **Apply / Links** - Job posting: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/fluidstack/05c2e69c-42f9-4fcb-9cf0-a467aaf98f1c - Applicant Privacy Notice: https://fluidstack.io/lega
