About this role

**Decision Engineer, Business Operations** **ABOUT FLUIDSTACK** Fluidstack exists to make humanity more free. Powerful AI can be the biggest lever for human choice—but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will shape whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it. We build and operate civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure—acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and running them with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. --- **HOW WE OPERATE** - **Be a barrel:** Full autonomy. Own things end to end; take on scope without being asked. - **Insane urgency:** Move everything forward as fast as possible. - **Reason from first principles:** Challenge assumptions; no ego—best idea wins. - **Love of the game:** Long hours at high intensity to push the frontier. - **Build something that actually matters:** Spend your time on work that matters to the world. --- **THE DECISION TEAM (Examples of key problems)** - **Automate the delivery of gigawatts:** Turn every step from land to live compute into software—schedules, decisions, and tasks generated from a live knowledge graph. - **Forward-deploy beside the experts:** Turn on-the-ground judgment into systems that reach every unit. - **Deliver every supercomputer faster than the last:** Learn once, prevent issues everywhere via shared graphs and concurrent projects. --- **ROLE SCOPE** You’ll build software that turns business operations into structured, automated decision systems, including: - **Build the hiring machine as software:** Recruiting loops already live in a graph—your job is to complete the system end to end (syncing recruiting both directions, making interviewer supply/load visible, and generating onboarding the moment an offer is signed). - **Build the cash view the company runs on:** Convert purchase orders, contract terms, and construction milestones into an order schedule, cash demand curve by month, and payment schedule that recomputes as procurement and construction move. - **Build one capital pipeline:** Move from approved budget → released capital → spent dollars, gated on build milestones, with an automated proof chain behind financing drawdowns. - **Parse and operationalize executed deals:** Convert MSAs, change orders, and side letters into obligations, prices, deadlines, penalties, and SLAs so delivery teams get what we owe—clause attached. - **Embed with finance, treasury, accounting, legal, and people:** Turn approvals, contract terms, screens, and reconciliations into structured data and generated work, including continuous close where capitalization and depreciation post as events happen. --- **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** - Shipped production code in **Go, Python, or TypeScript** (and can pick up other languages as needed). - Identify problems, design solutions, and ship without waiting for direction. - Move fast under deadlines while leaving strong foundations others can extend. - Earn credibility with experts outside engineering (finance, legal, recruiting, auditors) and drive adoption inside real deadlines (e.g., close calendars, time-sensitive offers). - Strong product taste: interfaces/workflows feel obvious and match how the work actually happens. **Bonus** - ERP and fixed asset accounting - FP&A, cash forecasting, and capital planning - Structured finance/treasury operations - Contract lifecycle systems - ATS and H
