Own things end to end—no permission required to operate outside your core role. - **Insane urgency:** Move fast and push everything forward. - **Reason from first principles:** Challenge assumptions; no ego—best idea wins. - **Love of the game:** High intensity, long hours, focused on the most interesting problems in AI. - **Build something that actually matters:** Spend your time on work that improves the world. **THE DATA CENTER OPERATIONS TEAM** Key problems the team is working on: - **Operate at national scale:** Your fleet will draw more power than some countries on the way to tens of GW. - **Fly the plane while it’s being built:** Keep live sites running flawlessly while construction continues around them. - **Write the playbook, don’t inherit it:** At this speed and scale, the standards you set become the standards. **ROLE SCOPE (Production Engineer, Compute Team Lead)** - **Lead compute production engineering** for a fleet serving customers with **tens of thousands of GPUs**. - **Own fleet availability:** Define SLOs, build tooling, and drive improvements. - **Build automation for the node lifecycle:** Provisioning, health checks, remediation, and return to service—**without human touch**. - **Set the on-call and escalation model** to keep response sharp without burning out the team. **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** - Led **SRE or production engineering** teams running large fleets. - **4+ years** managing engineering teams shipping into operational environments. - Can **move an availability number** and explain exactly how. - Shipped **automated remediation** that retired a runbook. - Hires and grows strong engineers (and they say so). - **Bonus:** GPU/HPC fleets; Kubernetes or Slurm; hardware failure analytics; customer-facing reliability. **APPLY** https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/fluidstack/05c2e69c-42f9-4fcb-9cf0-a467aaf98f1c **EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY** Fluidstack is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
