## Senior IT & Security Operations Engineer Are you a strong Systems Administrator or IT Operations Specialist looking to take a major step forward in your cybersecurity career? This is a true **hybrid role (70% Security Engineering / 30% Corporate IT)** where you’ll be the front-line, **hands-on keyboard** for cloud, infrastructure, hardware, and network security—while also rolling up your sleeves for day-to-day IT. **Location:** Full-time, **in-office** at our **downtown San Antonio** location, **at least 3 days/week**. --- ## What You’ll Do ### Security & Infrastructure Management (70%) - **Endpoint Management:** Administer and maintain **MDM** and device management using **Microsoft Intune** and **Microsoft Defender** - **Cloud Security:** Manage and configure security settings in **AWS** and **Cloudflare** - **Network & Connectivity:** Configure and maintain office networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and **company VPNs** - **Threat Detection:** Manage, configure, and monitor **SIEM** and other threat detection systems - **Incident & Event Documentation:** Partner with the **CISO** to document security events, track incidents, and maintain security/compliance logs - **System Hardening:** Implement security policies and infrastructure improvements defined by the CISO - **Administer User Access:** Support **SSO** and **SaaS account management** (email, messaging, and other staff tools) to improve SOC2 readiness - **SOC2 Support:** Help drive progress toward **SOC2 certification** ### Corporate IT & Office Support (30%) - **Hardware Provisioning:** Set up/configure new employee laptops; manage recovery and wiping for offboarding - **Office IT Support:** Primary point of contact for in-office IT requests (desk setups, monitor configurations, peripheral troubleshooting) - **Hardware Maintenance:** Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot office printers and essential office hardware - **Conference Rooms:** Configure and maintain A/V equipment for seamless internal and external meetings --- ## Who You Are - An **owner** who takes initiative, proposes fixes/plans, and drives them through (including doing the work yourself) - **Hands-on and self-driven**—comfortable configuring MDM policies or troubleshooting network issues, and documenting processes - A **clear communicator** who can explain technical/security concepts in plain language - A **builder**, not just a caretaker—energized by improving systems and processes - A **collaborative teammate** who works with engineering/ops without becoming a bottleneck - Genuinely interested in **fintech** and the security/compliance considerations of handling people’s money --- ## Who You Are Not - An **auditor / paper pusher**—you’ll help implement the security posture, not just define it - A **recreational player**—we need an impact-focused, competitive, “cover the area” teammate --- ## Qualifications & Requirements - **4+ years** experience in IT Systems Administration, Network Operations, or IT Support with a strong interest in cybersecurity - Transitioning **military/veterans** with IT/Cyber occupational specialties are encouraged - Hands-on experience with **MDM**, identity/SSO providers (e.g., **Okta**, **Microsoft Intune**, **Google Workspace**, **Azure AD**), and common SaaS admin consoles - Extra credit: **Microsoft Intune** and **Defender** - Solid understanding of **network engineering**, hardware configuration, and **VPN management** - Extra credit: securing *
