Our award-winning products help our global community understand readiness, activity, and sleep quality through the Oura Ring and connected app—turning insights into practical steps for healthier lifestyles. ### Role Overview We’re looking for a **Senior Director of Software Engineering** to lead **Women’s Health engineering**. Women’s Health is one of ŌURA’s most important opportunities to help members understand, navigate, and act on their health across meaningful life stages and conditions. In this role, you’ll lead the engineering organization that turns this ambition into **trusted, high-impact consumer experiences**. You’re a **product-minded engineering leader** who can: - **Ship key initiatives** that drive meaningful progress toward member outcomes - **Transform how the organization builds software** through **AI-native and agentic workflows** ### What You’ll Do - Lead and develop the Women’s Health software engineering organization through engineering managers, directors, and key technical leaders - Partner with Product, Design, Science, Data Science, Clinical, and Regulatory to translate member needs and product strategy into a high-quality roadmap - Ship the highest-priority initiatives and ensure they make meaningful progress toward member outcomes (not just delivery milestones) - Build an organization that consistently delivers excellent consumer software with measurable impact by creating clarity across ownership, architecture, dependencies, decision-making, and priorities - Lead organizational transformation while maintaining delivery momentum and team health - Set and reinforce a high performance bar across Engineering and the broader Women’s Health organization (outcomes, technical quality, execution, collaboration, leadership) - Define and implement an **AI-native** approach to product development and software engineering (practical AI/agents, quality guardrails, measurable outcomes) - Build a strong leadership bench through hiring, coaching, feedback, talent development, and succession planning - Represent engineering in senior cross-functional planning and help ŌURA make sound trade-offs between speed, quality, trust, and long-term leverage ### Location - **Remote (US)** - Slight preference for candidates based in **San Francisco, NY, or Boston** ### What You’ll Bring - **10–15 years** of experience building software products, ideally **5+ years** in leadership - Track record shipping consumer software with **meaningful, measurable impact** for users/members - Experience building and scaling a strong product-building organization (hiring/developing leaders; managing through managers) - Experience leading organizational transformation (structures, operating models, culture, ways of working) while maintaining delivery - Clear, practical perspective on building a winning software organization in the age of **AI and agents** - Strong people leadership skills (coaching, feedback, performance management, talent development, inclusive leadership) - Strong technical and product judgment across architecture, platform, data, quality, reliability, privacy, and speed - Genuine interest in Women’s Health and motivation to learn the domain deeply with empathy ### Nice to Have - Experience in Women’s Health / reproductive health / menopause / postpartum / fertility (or adjacent domains) - E
